For pain related to the condition we are diagnosing and treating, we prescribe various kinds of pain medications, including opioid prescriptions, as indicated. The types and amounts are determined by what is appropriate to target your particular symptoms. We do not refill routine prescriptions of pain medications.
For most prescription refill needs, we can call in a replacement supply or, for controlled substances, provide you with a paper prescription. We may need to communicate with your regular prescriber or home pharmacy, so please be prepared to provide this information. Medication refills can often be addressed through a phone or video conferencing visit and may not require an in-person appointment. If we are unable to obtain needed information about your health and prescription history, we may not be able to prescribe for you.
