Unfortunately availability is not guaranteed. If we are not able to meet your needs in a timely manner, we will direct you to a local emergency department or urgent care center near you.
If you live outside of Asheville, you may be charged an additional travel fee, depending on distance. This will be discussed with you during your initial phone contact.
We accept credit card and cash payment, including payment through your Health Savings Account (HSA). Your card may be billed a travel fee when you book your appointment; however, we will not charge your card for the remaining balance until your visit is completed and we have reviewed your invoice with you. Payment is due in full at the time of the visit.
We are a fee for service practice and do not bill insurance. If you have private insurance, we can provide you with a billing invoice for some services that may allow you to be partially reimbursed by your insurance plan.
Yes. Our mobile services are able to offer tests and care in a location convenient to you.
Our doctor will follow up with you by phone, or in person if needed, and will be accessible by phone or text to answer any of your questions. If you require specialty follow up care, we will provide you a referral for these services. Extended phone follow up is billed in 15 minute increments of our hourly rate.
For pain related to the condition we are diagnosing and treating, we prescribe various kinds of pain medications, including opioid prescriptions, as indicated. The types and amounts are determined by what is appropriate to target your particular symptoms. We do not refill routine prescriptions of pain medications.
Yes
For most prescription refill needs, we can call in a replacement supply or, for controlled substances, provide you with a paper prescription. We may need to communicate with your regular prescriber or home pharmacy, so please be prepared to provide this information. Medication refills can often be addressed through a phone or video conferencing visit and may not require an in-person appointment. If we are unable to obtain needed information about your health and prescription history, we may not be able to prescribe for you.
Yes, we offer various medications to assist in detox, and we will discuss these with you at your Initial Assessment visit.
